Create a Fiction Author Brochure to Help Your Self-Marketing Efforts!

A fiction author brochure is nothing more than a interest gathering hand out used to help sell your book. Either personally designed or professionally designed, it will represent you and your book in a way that make people want to buy your new fiction novel.

A brochure can come in many shapes and forms. It can be a simple one-fold brochure (a front page, two middle pages, and a back page) or a tri-fold (six total areas including a front page, 3 middle pages, a back page, and a mailing panel).

The first page or front page of your author brochure should include a graphic or an illustration of your book's cover. This should go on the first page a person will see when they pick up your brochure.

The middle of your brochure is where you add a detailed description of your book's topic or theme, your author biography, your contact information. If you are using a tri-fold brochure, the far right panel can be used as an order form so people can order your book directly from you as well as include where they can go to purchase your book such as an online bookstore or local book store.

The back page of your author brochure is a great place to put your reasons to buy your book or your bullets. This is known as a sell sheet and lists specific reasons to buy your book such as benefits the reader receives from buying and reading your book. This is also a great place to put quotes from reviews.

Learn how to use your fiction author brochure to self market your new fiction novel!
