Book Promotion Ideas
for a Fast Paced Fiction Market Place!
Book promotion
ideas have been rocking around my brain for
quite a while now. Between all of my own
marketing research and observations I've made of
other writers, I have found some of the best
information available to you to help you get
started down the road to success with you
fiction stories. The reason I had to do a lot of
research is because I didn't fully understand
how much was involved with the promotion aspect
of writing.
The best place to begin the process of selling
(yes I used the nasty word nobody wants to hear)
your books is to create an author website that
naturally attracts customers to it. I don't mean
settle for a one or two page website, you know,
the ones that a publisher will give you after
they publish your book. Those types of websites
WILL NOT SELL YOUR BOOKS! You need to set
up a website that does more than just act as a
place to send people in order for them to just
buy your book and tell others about you. You
need a website that is going to actually attract
people to it (from all of the major search
engines) and do most of the work for you so you
don't have to! This gives you more time to write
more books!
There are several reasons why the first book
promotion idea is very important.
1. You need a way to
build a customer database quickly.
2. You need a way
to put information out to your prospective
customers quickly and efficiently.
3. Your website
will attract people to it automatically so you
don't have to go out and find people to visit
your website.
4. A website will
place your book in front of the entire world!
So, create your author website before even
considering any of the other book promotion
ideas.
Now that you have considered a website, here's
another book promotion idea that is designed to
help you transform your mentality to a more
business approach. Why is it important to think
of your writing, publishing, and promoting as a
business? Well, if you are dedicated to becoming
a full fledged fiction writer...
1. You will be making a
lot of money at it.
2. You will need to
discipline yourself in order to succeed at it.
3.
You need to create a
plan in order to sell even more books.
So, how do you transform your writing into a
business?
You must create your own book
marketing model! Your book marketing model will
be the core of your writing business, guiding
you down an organized path toward ultimate
success with your book sales.
My exclusive guide
Book Marketing Model will
introduce you to several on and off line
advertising methods that have been proven to
make your book selling business very successful
by providing you with many book marketing
avenues with which to build you customer
database and follow-on sales. It's something you
can start on immediately and run forever.
Book promotion is one of the largest
post-publishing obstacles a writer must overcome
before they can become successful as a published
author. It takes dedication and determination to
keep your business going once you start. Many
publishers offer marketing assistance (for a
price) that will help produce sales, but if you
self-publish your books, you will have to rely
on your marketing efforts in order to make money
with your writing.
Never give up on your writing dreams because you
can't sell your books. It's probably not because
of your writing. It's probably because you don't
know the proper ways of marketing your books..
